1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using usmewe.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and usmewe.com regarding your use of our decentralized social credit and peer-to-peer lending services.

2. Eligibility

To use usmewe.com, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Not be prohibited from using the Platform under applicable laws
• Not be located in a jurisdiction where cryptocurrency services are prohibited
• Complete identity verification as required

3. Account Registration

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information as needed
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Trust Score System

The Trust Score is a measure of your creditworthiness on the Platform. You understand that:

• Your Trust Score is calculated based on your platform activity, repayment history, and social connections
• Trust Score affects your borrowing limits and interest rates
• Late payments or defaults will negatively impact your Trust Score
• Trust Score is visible to other users during loan transactions
• We reserve the right to modify the Trust Score algorithm

5. Peer-to-Peer Payments & Lending

5.1 Borrowing from Friends

When you request money from a friend:

• You agree to repay the full amount by the due date (minimum 60 days)
• NO INTEREST: All peer-to-peer payments are at 0% interest
• Borrowing limits are determined by your Trust Score
• Late payments damage your Trust Score and may restrict future transactions
• We do NOT guarantee repayment - this is between you and your friend
• Payments are facilitated through blockchain smart contracts for transparency

5.2 Lending to Friends

When you lend money to a friend:

• You acknowledge the risk that the borrower may not repay
• NO RETURNS: You will NOT earn interest or returns
• We do NOT guarantee repayment or provide insurance for peer-to-peer transactions
• You should only lend to people you personally trust
• This is a personal financial decision between you and the borrower

5.3 Platform Role

usmewe.com acts solely as a technology platform to facilitate peer-to-peer payments:

• We provide the software and infrastructure for users to transact
• We calculate Trust Scores to help users make informed decisions
• We are NOT a party to any lending agreement
• We do NOT guarantee, insure, or underwrite any transactions
• We are NOT responsible for user defaults or disputes

6. Social Vault & Guardians

The Social Vault provides additional security through Guardian relationships:

• Guardians are trusted individuals you designate
• Multi-signature approval is required for certain transactions
• Timelock delays apply to large withdrawals
• The Duress PIN feature provides emergency protection
• You are responsible for maintaining your Guardian relationships

7. Fees

The following fees may apply:

• Service Fee: Small transaction fee for blockchain processing (typically less than $1)
• Interest: 0% - No interest charged on any peer-to-peer transactions
• Late Fees: No monetary penalties, but late payments negatively impact your Trust Score

Blockchain gas fees are abstracted and included in service fees. You will not see separate gas charges.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Platform for money laundering or illegal activities
• Create fake accounts or manipulate Trust Scores
• Circumvent security measures or exploit vulnerabilities
• Harass, threaten, or defraud other users
• Use bots or automated systems without authorization
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the Platform
• Interfere with the Platform's operation

9. Intellectual Property

The usmewe.com name, logo, and Platform design are our intellectual property. The Platform's source code is open source under the MIT License and available on GitHub. You may not use our trademarks without written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to fees paid to us in the past 12 months
• We are not liable for losses due to market volatility
• We are not liable for actions of other users or third parties
• We are not liable for blockchain network issues or smart contract failures

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless usmewe.com and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be resolved through:

1. Informal Resolution: Contact us first to resolve disputes amicably
2. Mediation: If informal resolution fails, parties agree to mediation
3. Arbitration: Binding arbitration as a last resort

You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits against usmewe.com.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Default on loan obligations
• Pose a risk to other users or the Platform

Upon termination, outstanding loan obligations remain due. You may request account deletion in compliance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in the courts of the United States, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

By using our platform, you confirm that peer-to-peer payment services are legal in your jurisdiction and that you comply with all applicable local laws.

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
